5 Ways to Earn Extra Income

There are several reasons you may want to learn how to make money. Maybe you are not satisfied with your current job. Maybe you are looking for a way to earn an income as a stay at home mom, or to be location independent. Or, maybe you just want to make a little extra on the side to save up for something special.

Regardless of your reason, if you are looking for a less conventional method of earning an income, there are several methods of achieving this goal.

Sell Unwanted Items

1/5

Do you have old electronics, bikes, or kitchen appliances that you do not use? Sell them!

Sites like Ebay and Craigslist make selling unwanted items simple. Not only can you sell your own  items, but you can also turn a profit by selling other people's unwanted goods.

On Saturday mornings, many people have yard sales, but by noon, they generally have plenty leftover. The last thing they want to do is carry it all back in; after all, they wanted to get rid of everything. Try stopping by around this time and if there are still valuable items, offer a low amount to take all the remaining items.

If you have an eye for valuables, consider hitting up thrift stores and antique shops regularly. They receive numerous donations daily which are generally low value items. When they happen to get a valuable item, it will likely go unnoticed and be underpriced. This is especially the case with antique items, rare collectables and name brand clothing. If you are able to spot these items, you can purchase them, then flip them for a nice profit.
